Lucky in Love: Fort Worth
- X
In Lucky in Love, Alana and Josh leave their Fort Worth date to a coin flip. This bookable three-day itinerary is built around the same city, with the Stockyards, a day across Dallas and Fort Worth, and plenty of Texas barbecue. The link below opens the full trip, where you can change, edit, or lengthen any part of it.
The Stockyards
Fort Worth Stockyards is the part of town to start with. This National Historic District grew up around the city’s livestock trade, and its old buildings still carry that Western feel. Walk it slowly. The Cattle Drive Visitors Center and the Livestock Exchange give you the story behind the place, and the cattle drive that runs through the district makes it feel alive instead of preserved. Stop in at The Best Hat Store and try on a cowboy hat, the kind of souvenir you will wear when you get home.
Dallas and Fort Worth in a Day
The Dallas and Fort Worth Combo Tour runs seven hours and covers both cities, so you see two sides of North Texas in one outing without driving yourself. In Dallas, you visit Founders Plaza, the Old Red Courthouse, and Pioneer Plaza, where larger-than-life bronze longhorns cross a landscaped park in the middle of a big, modern city.
Back in Fort Worth, the Cultural District and its Modern Art Museum give you a quieter, art-filled counterpoint to the Stockyards. Between them, the day shows you how different two neighboring cities can feel.
Barbecue, the River, and a Free Day
Texas takes barbecue seriously, and Heim Barbecue is on the itinerary’s list of places to visit, so plan a meal around it. Panther Island Pavilion is another stop on that list, a waterfront spot where you can slow down after a busy day. The trip also leaves a free day on your own, so you can return to a favorite stop, add something new, or flip a coin to decide who picks. Your base for all of it is The Sinclair, Autograph Collection, so each day ends somewhere comfortable.
