Paris for the First Time
This stay has been designed for a first-time visit to the City of Light. You will get to experience the must-see landmarks of one of the world's most beautiful capitals. Explore the city at your own pace and enjoy a leisurely cruise on a Bateau Mouche along the Seine. This will give you a first glimpse of Paris's iconic monuments. Then, wander through the aisles of the most famous Parisian museum: the Louvre! Let yourself be enchanted by Mona Lisa’s evocative smile… Your stay is already coming to an end, leaving you filled with culture and 100% French splendor!
In the Travel Man episode, Richard Ayoade and Mel Giedroyc work through Paris in 48 hours. They take in the view from Montparnasse Tower, eat snails, drink absinthe, join a cooking course at Le Cordon Bleu and follow an art tour. It's a lot for two days. This itinerary covers the same city at a slower pace from one hotel, with the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Versailles, and it leaves room to chase the episode's stranger stops on your own. The link below opens the full trip, and you can change any part of it.
Do the Landmarks First
A private transfer takes you from Gare de Lyon to the Hotel Camille Paris, your base for the whole trip. The Eiffel Tower comes first, with admission included. The Louvre follows. The Mona Lisa is the obvious draw, but the galleries beyond it hold plenty you didn't plan on seeing.

The Louvre's courtyard pyramid; the trip includes Louvre Museum tickets.
Both evenings are left open, which suits the episode's food stops. Find snails and absinthe somewhere in the Latin Quarter and decide whether they live up to the reputation.
Copy the Episode's Quirks
One day is deliberately left unplanned, and the episode's stranger stops aren't part of the booking, so this is where they fit. Climb Montparnasse Tower for a view of the Eiffel Tower that the tower itself can't give you, or take a cooking course at Le Cordon Bleu. Pick one, book it yourself, and spend the rest of the day walking through the Marais, the Tuileries or a cafe with no agenda.

No trip to Paris is complete without a quick stop for escargot.
Leave the City Once
Versailles is the one day trip on the itinerary, and it's worth leaving Paris for. The palace was built to show off, and it still does. The Hall of Mirrors is the best example: a long gallery of mirrors and chandeliers where you'll look up at the painted ceiling as often as at your own reflection. Outside, the gardens run on for what feels like miles, with fountains, clipped hedges and plenty of room to wander once you've had your fill of gilt. By evening you're back in Paris, with the night still ahead of you.
